We are looking for an experienced freelance geotechnical engineer to undertake the geotechnical review and detailed foundation and slope design for key water infrastructure components, including one pump station (Q = 1.4 m³/sec × 5 pumps = 7.0 m³/sec), one drainage gate (B 2.0m × H 2.6m × 3 units), three box culverts (B 3.0m × H 2.5m × 3 units) in the main canal, and two box culverts in the secondary canal. The project site is situated on soft ground with geotechnical investigations indicating soft clay down to 9.0 meters, underlain by sand, with grey Gleysols and orange soft clay dominating the soil profile. Due to these conditions, large diameter piling is not suitable; therefore, the foundation design should consider micro-piling or raft foundations as viable alternatives. We invite qualified professionals with experience in designing foundations on soft and waterlogged soils to express interest and provide design proposals based on the investigation results. The design shall be based on Euro Code or British Code. The work needs to be finish in 7 days after assignment.
